We offer innovative programs and resources to support expectant and parenting youth in under-served areas across Los Angeles County and surrounding regions, constantly striving to improve lives by strengthening community bonds and providing essential services.

Founder & Executive Director

Sylvia Martin is the Founder and Executive Director of From The Village Parenting Services. A master’s level social worker with more than 25 years of experience, Sylvia has dedicated her career to supporting children, youth, and families across diverse communities.

She brings extensive training in early childhood education, child and family guidance, and trauma‑informed counseling. Throughout her work in child welfare and community-based programs, Sylvia has supported families facing abuse, trauma, and crisis with compassion and cultural responsiveness.

Sylvia founded From The Village Parenting Services to ensure expectant and parenting youth have access to meaningful support, concrete resources, and a strong community of care. Her leadership continues to shape the agency’s mission of empowering families and strengthening the village around them.
